Dear Parents,
As you know, children can experience different types of fear during various times in their lives. This month's elementary school theme is titled Are You Afraid of the Dark? Each week's lesson will focus children on how to recognize and take action steps to manage many of the common fears they face each day. They will learn the Bible tells us Jesus witnessed the worries and fears people experienced during His lifetime and about how prudent He was in reminding His followers to trust in Him and not worry or be afraid. As Christians, when faced with difficult situations, our reaction should not be to worry or agonize about the issue, instead, it should be to stand strong on God's Word, pray, trust, and believe. Parents, please remind kids we have an AWESOME GOD who is loving, gracious, reliable, and willing to help us in all situations.
