Hobbies:
Music (playing, singing, and writing), baseball, paintball, football, and golf.

Favorite Bible verse and why?:
Matthew 6:34 "Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.  Each day has enough trouble of its own."  Many times we (myself included) just get so focused and so caught up in the things that we have no control over and begin to let the little things stress us out that we loose focus of the here and now.  But Jesus tells us in this verse, not to worry about tomorrow, not to worry about whatever it is that is taking over our focus. Instead, we need to focus on the now, on today what we have in front of us and where God has us.  I know I can be one of those who worries a lot and every time I start to worry I lean on these words from Jesus and then I also end up remembering...
James 4:10  "humble yourself before the Lord and He will lift you up."

What do you like about Thursday nights?:
Wow, I don't know that I can pick one thing, but I will try.  I would have to say it's our kids and the relationship that is gained with them; to be able to be there for them, to serve them, to teach them, and to help them grow with the Lord.  Of course I love the worship too.

When did you become a Christian?:
I was invited (again) to Discovery (Moreno Valley Christian Church) in 2002 by my now wife Lindsay and on the second Sunday I was here I gave my life to Christ and was baptized two months later.

When did you become a youth group leader?:
Shortly after I was baptized, Pastor Bryan and I discussed me becoming a leader.  I started off stacking chairs and doing sound, and ended up seeing where God was calling me to serve (youth ministry).  I began wanting to do more and working towards becoming a Pastor.

What is something you wish you knew when you were in middle school?:
I wish I knew God.  I know, corny as it may sound but it is true.  My life back then was school, baseball, and karate.  It would have been nice to know who God was back in middle school.
